History
A love for painting and drawing began early for Jacobs at just five years old. As a teenager, he took art lessons at Newark Arts High School until interests and extracurricular time-shifted to academics. In 1983, after obtaining a Medical Degree with board certification in Internal Medicine and Cardiology, Jacobs moved to Arizona and joined a Cardiology practice but his love for art never faded. Thirty-four years later, he retired from medicine to dedicate himself full-time as an artist. Using both canvas and paper mediums, Jacobs is heavily influenced by abstract expressionists from the 1950s. Today, Jacobs continues to experiment with line, shape, texture and color.
